After playing a truly epic DJ set on Migas Rooftop in June last year, we are VERY happy to bring Mike back for our first Dance Dangereux Party of 2012.
Formerly a true hardcore kid, Mike DJed literally all legendary NYC clubs in the late 80s early 90s including Palladium, The Tunnel, Save The Robots, Soul Kitchen, The Red Zone, Building, NASA, The Limelight and Mars where he worked as a promoter. After the NYC club craze was over and basically all clubs closed he found Troubleman Records releasing such seminal bands as Erase Errata, Glass Candy, Black Dice, Death Comet Crew, Wolf Eyes, Pixeltan, Chromatics, The Walkmen, Devendra Banhart. In 2006, Mike started a sub-label based on a blog. Started as a joke the Italians Do It Better website was meant to be a fun blog for disco record collectors. Now it has become one of the most influential labels of this millenium getting props from Karl Lagerfeld to Pitchfork, and provided half of the soundtrack of the 2011 cult movie “Drive”. At the same time Mike stayed 100% DIY and collected more musical knowledge under his little pinkies fingernail then most people in their whole life.

在去年六月米家思露台酒吧那场经典的DJ表演之后，我们非常荣幸能再次邀请到Mike Simonetti为我们2012年第一场“危险之舞”派对进行表演。
80年代末/90年代初，当他还是个完全沉浸在电音世界里的孩子的时候，就已经在纽约各大知 名Club里办过活动，比如Palladium, The Tunnel, Save The Robots, Soul Kitchen, The Red Zone, Building, NASA, The Limelight和Mars等等，他不仅是DJ，也是活动策划人。随着这些 夜场的陆续消失，他对纽约Club的狂热也渐渐消退。随后，他 建立了唱片公司Troubleman Records，为Erase Errata, Glass Candy, Black Dice, Death Comet Crew, Wolf Eyes, Pixeltan, Chromatics, The Walkmen和 Devendra Banhart这些想法创新的乐队发行专辑。2006年，Mike又利用博客开启了一个子厂牌，这个源自同名玩笑的博客Italians Do It Better最初只是玩票似的介绍一些优秀的电子舞曲，如今它已经成为本世纪最具影响力的厂牌之一，从卡尔•拉格斐（Karl Lagerfeld，时装设计师）到Pitchfork音乐网都是它的忠实粉丝，并在2011年为邪典电影“Drive”提供了过半的原声音乐。与此同时和大多数人不同的是，Mike始终坚持100%DIY的精神，坚持亲手收集尽可能多的音乐知识与资源。
